Sunday 28th July saw a small group of dinghies from PSC tackle the challenging Portsea Island Cruise
Departing from the club, the dinghies crossed to Tipner and navigated the channel round to Hilsea. From there it was time to drop the masts and a manual effort to paddle under the bridges -with some pretty low clearances! – out into Langstone harbour.
The group then sailed south on the retreating tide pausing for lunch on the sandbank
Suitably recharged the group sailed int the Solent and West along to the Portsmouth Harbour entrance. Picking up the tide now in flood, they navigated the tricky (and busy) harbour entrance before heading for home. A long tiring passage but one to celebrate achieving back in the clubhouse bar
